This saperavi is hand-harvested in the winery's own vineyard in the Napareuli microzone, which has also been green-harvested to reduce yield and increase quality.
The wine has a dark ruby color, aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, dried black plums, black pepper, tobacco, violets, and dried rose petals. The wine is full-bodied, sharp, with strong tannins, unbalanced barrel tones, and a long tannin finish. The wine has a short finish of cherry, cherry tart, and black plum. The wine needs a long aeration for 30-40 minutes and pairs well with veal ossobuco, beef burgers, caramelized onions, and beef stew.
