Mtsvane Qvevri Reserve is made from Kakhuri Mtsvane variety grapes harvested in the microzone of Napareuli using the Kakhuri traditional method. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and the next 12 months in bottles. Produced in limited edition, 2400 bottles in total.
The wine has a dark amber color with an orange tint. It is characterized by a complex bouquet, which opens up and is better expressed as a result of aeration in the glass. Aromas of dried grass, black tea, and coniferous trees are expressed. It has a full body, velvety and rounded tannins, a lingering aftertaste, and a long finish.
The wine is already 5 years old and shows its age well. Decantation is preferred before serving. Goes well with roasted lamb or pork with herbal sauce and green vegetable garnish.
